Gluten Free

My sweetie of 30 years arrived from Vancouver late last night with one of my favourite gluten free treats, fresh from the Quejoes bakery http://www.quejos.com/ .  I was diagnosed with Celiac disease several years ago and it is getting easier and easier to find yummy gluten free products.  Quejoes buns are made from manioc flour and is a Brazilian Bread. My husband brought me home 4 flavours: spinach, cheese, garlic and sundried tomatoe. A very nice early Valentine gift that arrived shortly after midnight on February 14th 2012.

YUMMY

Some Quejoes, brie cheese, pate, salad and Valentine dinner with my man.

So I didn't do any inking about my manioc bread but defintely rejoicing! And it is really nice to have him home after a week away.

Valentines Day

During William and Kate"s royal wedding, pastor Richard Chartes boldly declared: "as the reality of God has faded from so many lives in the West, there has been a corresponding inflation of expectations that personal [relationships] alone will supply meaning and happiness in life." As Valentine's Day approaches, we celebrate the joy of human love, but also recognize its limits.

As image-bearers ...
of a triune God, we are made to love others and to be loved by them. February 14 can help us remember this; those closest to us can also be those most easily taken for granted. But in contrast to many Hollywood plot lines, our ultimate fulfillment will not be found in any one human relationship. That's simply too great a burden to place on anyone! While we celebrate the unspeakable gift of a spouse, dating relationship or close friend, we can also let them off the hook for having to satisfy our deepest needs.

This Valentine's Day, we also pause to celebrate God's love - the unconditional, grace-saturated love that receives us before we've ever 'accomplished' anything and welcomes us home no matter where we've been.

Beautiful Valentine card made by MA

I am loving making the flowers from the CRICUT Art Philosophy Cartridge from Close To My Heart. There are six different flowers to make from 1" to 11 1/2".

Gail's Heart Box to the left and mine below.

This is a gift bag I made for a Bridal Shower, with purples of course! And the bride likes greens and loves butterflys. The wedding is this weekend, check back later in the week to see the card for the wedding.
A few weddings in the first bit of 2012.  Two of them have a purple colour scheme and the third has chosen red.

A month ago we were blessed to attend our daughters' friend's wedding.  We had a wonderful time as we celebrated with them the beginning of their life together.  My husband and I celebrated 30 years this past October and it was a time of remembering our beginning.
