Canada Day and more

Happy Canada Day

Last Friday was the last school professional development day (PD Day) of the school year.  So I held a workshop for a few girls and they made some Canada flag tea light holders.  (Only to be used with battery tea lights.) We used the Canadian Celebration stamp set D1459, vellum, versa mark, red embossing powder, white card stock, red grommets and ribbon.

One of the girls loves lady bugs, so we  created some cards using a variety of punches.

Using my Cricut machine and Close To My Heart's Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge we also created some cards using the card function on the cartridge to create these vase cards.  Pear, lagoon and bamboo colours were used and the "PERFECT" stamp is from the July Stamp of the Month set.

Later this summer we will get together again and make some other cute bug cards - a butterfly, worm and bumble bee.

The above flower is from the June Stamp of the Month and it coordinates with the flower shape from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartiridge.  The girls each had a flower, the stamp set and did some amazing dry embossing with the Close To My Heart white core paper.  After fitting in 4 projects it was a rush at the end and I forgot to get pictures of their beautiful creations.

If you have a child who is interested in doing a workshop please call or email me and we can arrange a time.

Ink and Rejoice it's SUMMER!
